T The company name, "Éditions Jean Voltaire," is for the moment, as you can see and read on the main page, no more than a ghost name.   This entry was necessary to legalize the sale of my books to libraries and other repositories sales.   The results, however, don't allow me to continue such registration because, despite the beautiful formulas of our dear government, minimum charges and taxes far outweigh the revenues.

I am Dutch and I was born on 16 October 1945 in a village bearing the sweet name of Wanneperveen.   Don't especially try pronounce the name, it stands for: “Peatlands of Wanne.”   The name of my village of origin is a contraction of words describing the place, as the Dutch language allows it.   I went in 1971, after having finished my studies first as an electrician and than electronics engineer followed by military service and a short time with Control Data Holland, to Switzerland and stay there until 1995.   I worked at CERN in Geneva and at EPFL in Lausanne for the account of the American computer company.   It is from 1989 on wards that I have, after the closure of-Control Data, started working in the micro-computer business as an independent consultant.   In 1993 I came to live partly in France, in Draveil to be more precisely, to follow a course of several months.   Finally, I gained in Courcelles Sur Seine, in the department of Eure, the house where I live now.   It's at the end of the year 2006 that I stopped my activity as computer engineer, because it didn't pay anymore off the various taxes.   Since that time I picked up the subject of Atlantis again, which I began in the early 90s to write a book about it.   I am spending most of my time on writing since then.   To learn more about me and where I lived once, visit my personal website.

The company "Editions Jean Voltaire", who was until the fisrt of July 2009 nothing other than having the status “Micro company BIC” (Home business), where I would sell my books, either by the local intermediary or by deposit-sale in other shops.   Direct selling on the Internet and book fairs is still possible, because the law allows me to do so, on condition that the sale is done at actual production cost, including any expenses requiring the sale.
